TEMESCAL alley is rad. An innovative idea that has transformed into an amalgamation of design, art, and vintage in this tiny Oakland mecca. All they need is a Philz Coffee cart and there will literally be no reason to leave.
My favorite shop is Miss Marisa Haskell's studio. Her aesthetic is insanely current, mixing leather, metal and crystal in pieces she has so coyly named, "BADLANDS," "ZURICH," "TAOS," "AMSTERDAM," and the like.
