Bold color and pattern, gets me everytime.
These are the images of MATTHAN of The Pop Painterly, but the blog doesn't even begin to do him justice.
The first piece is a rework from a nude he did fall of last year, a bit of a homework assignment turned Suicide Girls. The second is semi-abstract, which we don't get much of from the New Mexican artist. He must have been channeling Basquiat during this one, definitely a new direction.
Can't wait until his next show, his paintings must be viewed at close range.
